![]() Later in the book, right about when he gets to the army and Bubba dies, Forrest has flashbacks about all the good times him and Bubba had at the university and earlier when they did everything together around the army base and all their conversations, especially about opening up their shrimping business which Forrest did later on. ![]() It starts out chronological order telling about his child hood and coming up from elementary school, to the nut school, to high school, getting on the football team, the scholarship to Alabama and more. Literary Techniques: Winston uses mainly order in my novel. Throughout the book, Forrest spells words incorrectly and speaks with a southern accent. Since Forrest is from down south in Mobile, Alabama, he gives Forrest an accent and takes Forrest's IQ into consideration. Use of Dialogue: Winston uses authentic accents in the dialogue of my novel. When Forrest see's Jenny Curran for the first time since elementary school, he says, "She was all growed up now, with prettyblack hair an she was long-legged an had a beautiful face, an they was other things too, Idare not mention." as you can see, Winston uses a lot of description. Things are very detailed while talking through Forrest. Winston makes it as if Forrest is telling the readers his life story.ĭescriptions: Winston uses lots of detail and description in my novel so I think he's more of a flowery author. Narritive Voice: In my novel, Winston speaks through one character which is the main character, Forrest Gump. ![]()
